We use Alexandrite, Nd;YAG and Diode Lasers for hair removal. The correct technology for your skin type and hair type will be selected by the therapist at consultation. Using Active Q-Switched Q Plus C Evolution Laser with 3 laser wavelengths including Ruby laser, we can treat all scientifically treatable colours of tattoo ink. We do not remove Semi Permanent Makeup pigment due to its propensity to oxidise.

Using UK Manufactured Lynton 3JUVE System with Patented IPL, Fractional Laser, and Radiofrequency Skin Tightening, we are able to offer a range of tailored treatments for your rejuvenation concerns. We offer treatments for sun damage pigmentation, freckles, Keratosis, and benign birth marks. Please note:- We cannot treat hormonal pigmentation or post inflammatory hyperpigmentation.

Scarring and stretch marks can be effectively diminished with a Q Switched or Ablative fractional laser. We offer Medical Grade IPL for facial vessels and small irregularities such as cherry angiomas, Long Pulsed Nd;YAG laser for Leg Vessels, or Lamprobe for very small superficial vascular lesions, we are able to treat a range of superficial vessels.
Services
When it comes to the ageing skin there are three key symptoms we can all exhibit: discolouration, lines and wrinkles and a loss of firmness.
Resurface; this powerful technology is designed to retexturise the skin for maximum smoothness.
Your own skin is encouraged to 'work younger' over time reducing the appearance of lines, tightening pores and erasing any textural irregularities - with the benefits of a completely natural appearance!.
Rebright; get the benefits of airbrushing with this unique technology that dramatically reduces redness, veins, sun spots and sun damage.
At Skintelligence, we have the option of 3 different wavelengths for laser hair removal, and the option of standard shot-by-shot or in-motion ( pain free ) mode.
Most good laser clinics will have a machine that offers at least 2 laser wavelengths: Alexandrite and Nd;YAG.
These lasers have been considered the 'Gold Standard' for effective and safe hair removal for many years.
Clinical data still supports Alexandrite (755nm) being the most effective laser wavelength available for laser hair removal due to the high rate of melanin absorption.
Have you ever gone to the laser clinic and been turned away because you have a tan but been absolutely puzzled that someone with a naturally dark skin tone is about to go in for the same treatment?
If you're not a trained laser practitioner this can seem really strange, but its all about the window of safety and efficacy for treating hair removal on your skin AND your hairs.
People with naturally darker skin tend to have naturally darker hairs.
Thus leaving us with a great window to affect the hairs with our laser without causing damage to the epidermis.
The Lamprobe treats common minor skin conditions, on the surface of the skin, that skin care practitioners see on a daily basis.
The Lamprobe treats these superficial irregularities non-invasively and extremely rapidly (3-5 sec).
Skin conditions effectively treated by the Lamprobe include: telangiectasia, milia, cholesterol deposits, clogged pores, cherry angiomas, spider naevi, skin tags, fibromas, pimples and acne.
The Lamprobe, developed by Hubert Lam, uses radio, high frequency technology to treat minor skin abnormalities, without penetrating the skin's surface.
To permanently damage a follicle you must get the root of the hair to 70 degrees C. there are hair stem cells underneath the root and these need to be destroyed.
There are further hair stem cells around close to the hair bulge which also need to be destroyed.
The light from the device is absorbed by the melanin pigment in the hair, which then heats up the hair and hair root.
The skin also contains melanin but usually in a lower concentration which is where we find our window of treatment opportunity.
