He trained at Vidal Sassoon in Glasgow followed by yearly additional training with Vidal Sassoon in Manchester and London.
He built up his first salon with 18 staff in Falkirk before moving to North Berwick He recently trained in New York on razor cutting skills and is loving the results and is the educator here at Jack and Ivy.
JACKIE her speciality is colouring, She did the Loreal Colour Specialist Degree and was also part of the Loreal I.D team which involved educating throughout the UK.

The owners of a popular Falkirk hair salon have decided to sell up and begin a new adventure.
Graeme and Jackie Hamilton have been running Couper & Co for over 22 years, the last 12 from their landmark building in Princes Street.
With their three daughters grown up and scattered around the globe - in Australia, Sweden and London - the couple decided the time was right for them to make some changes.
Graeme said: We've always loved the east coast and spend a lot of time there.
After a lot of thought we decided to buy a house in North Berwick and that's where we're moving to.

Dunbar Food Bank offers help to individuals going through a crisis of any sort that leaves them vulnerable and without the capacity to feed themselves.
This is assisted by both Dunbar Parish Church and St Annes Church.
