Hair By Kristian Wood

I started working in a Uttoxeter salon at the age of 15. I worked there whilst completing my NVQ Level 1, 2 & 3 at Stoke College. As a child I never knew what I wanted to do so my mum who was also a hairdresser suggested hairdressing, so I thought I would give it go. I then realised that I actually quite liked it and was also good at it, so continued with the career and have never looked back.

I worked in the Uttoxeter salon until I was 26. It was then I felt I needed to open my own and looked in various towns until I decided that Ashbourne was the best place. In my hairdressing career I have won many national awards and have been on the England hair dressing team! It's great having a chat with the clients and also seeing their hair transform and trying out new styles.

I enjoy meeting everyone who comes in and have built some great friendships with clients. I can't thank my clients enough for all the support they have shown me throughout the years, some of whom I have known since I started cutting hair at 15.
