Yazz Number One Hair Studio opened in 1994 as a little shop in Yeadon with a small and enthusiastic team.
Paul Shakeshaft, the owner of the group of salons has always been keen to build the business and move the company forward within the hairdressing industry, ensuring that Yazz is definitely on the map.
We have expanded our business and now have three salons: Rawdon - our flagship hair salon, Yazz Barbers and Guiseley, and now recently opened, in Leeds, a new Yazz Hairdressing Academy.
We believe education is key - we employ a full time in-house educator who supports our trainees and keeps our Creative Team up to date with new techniques and cutting styles.

Jason brings with him a wealth of experience in the Hair and Beauty Industry and has achieved 5 times Regional Finalist in the L'Oreal Colour Trophy.
Jason is definitely in touch with his creative side working on professional photo shoots and fashion shows previously and touring with L'Oreal Colour Trophy.
He is also an experienced and talented Mens Barber.
We are lucky to welcome Paul to the Yazz Team who has a wealth of experience in all types of men's Hairdressing.

Our Level 2 in Barbering course enables students to become fully qualified barbers at our Academy in Yeadon running in partnership with the Yorkshire College of Beauty Therapy.
The Level 2 Diploma in Barbering covers a range of practical skills and theoretical knowledge to prepare students for entry into the barbering industry.
A barbering apprenticeship is one of the finest ways of training to become a barber.
Our Level 2 in Barbering course enables students to become fully qualified barbers at our Academy in Yeadon running in partnership with the Yorkshire College of Beauty Therapy.
