Owner and proprietor Patsy Kershaw started her career in hairdressing in the early 1960s as an apprentice at Worthing's premier salon, Yves. In 1977, Patsy purchased her first salon, Headline Hair Design, in West Chiltington where she was vetted and chosen to be a member of inter-coiffure, an elite hair dressing organisation.
Patsy acquired The Dickens Salon in Dorking in 1983 which she continued to own and operate until 1999. In the 90s Patsy was running her second salon in the Storrington area, "Headline 2" and during this decade she moved it to its current location and changed the name to Headline.
